LSEC was granted a F.R.I. lease of the Civic Hall in Longridge from RVBC on 1st April 2005. Since that time the Hall has been run mainly by volunteers to ensure the hall remains accessible to the local community. The use of the hall has increased since LSEC took over. LSEC organised a food festival - in conjunction with the local schools, from which the revenue raised will go towards the costs of the newly formed traders group for Longridge. The overall aim of LSEC is to provide a community hub centred around the Civic Hall and Station Buildings.
